Early Life

Dianna Agron was born in Savannah, Georgia and she is Jewish. She spent her childhood in San Francisco, and did her high school from Burlingame High School in California. She was a middle class performer when she was a child. Agron started to take dance classes at the age of three. She loved studying jazz and ballet and continued this throughout her young age.

Later in life, she showed interest in acting and decided to practice a specialized vocation upon graduation. When she shifted to Los Angeles at the age of 18, she enrolled in acting classes and showed herself in many student films, just to gain experience for the future. Gradually, her acting career moved on and in 2006 and she made her debut with a small role in ‘After Midnight: Life Behind Bars’, which is a TV movie that centers on the nightlife of Los Angeles.

Career

After getting a kick start with the role in ‘After Midnight: Life Behind Bars’ she took that experience to grab a role in Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh (2004-07), CSI: NY, Shark (FOX, 2006-08). Agron didn’t slow the pace of her appearances and appeared in a teen detective series ‘Veronica Mars’, where she played a role of a wealthy kid, and Hearst College student, Jenny Budosh. She moved on and made her next appearance as a cat-loving retail store greeter, in ‘It’s a Mall World’. It was a web series that aired online and was like an advertising campaign during episodes of MTV’s ‘The Real World: Sydney’ (2007-08).

Initially, she played a bad and mean cheerleader in ‘Heroes’, that aired in 2006. Now her cheer-girl image is taken forward and the skillful dancer, singer and actor became a well-known face in the musical comedy series, Glee. In the series, she plays the role of Quinn Fabray, the conflicted head of Cheerio and celibacy club leader. The series is created by Ryan Murphy.

Her dancing and musical background made her appropriate for the role in Glee. She presented a version of Frank Sinatra’s ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ during her try-out for the series. In one of the seasons of Glee, she plays the role of a pregnant teen and as the show progressed, her character revealed a better actor in her.

Along with the role in Glee she has also made her appearances in Numb3rs, Close to Home and Shark. Dianna has also hosted Chickens in Love, a mini Music Festival for 826LA in Los Angeles.

Dianna Agron was among the Hollywood actors, who have been shortlisted to be in Wal-Mart’s Ocean Pacific Spring 2010 marketing campaign. It’s a national campaign that debuted in entertainment, fashion and lifestyle magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Elle, Seventeen and Teen Vogue outdoor and online at the website of Ocean Pacific. Agron made a special appearance on behalf of the brand.

Dianna Agron has also directed a music video for Body by Thao, with the Get Down Stay Down in 2010.

She has revealed that she loves graveyards, because of the calm surroundings.

She is a fan of Tim Burton films. People magazine chose Dianna Agron to be a part of their Most Beautiful 2010. She was among the top Hot 100 list of Afterellen.com in 2010.

Along with TV series, she also has experience of working in films too. In 2007, she worked in TKO, where she portrayed the role of Dyann. In the same year, she made her appearance in ‘Skid Marks’, where she played the character of Megan. In 2009, she came up with three films in a row – Dinner With Raphael, A Fuchsia Elephant and Celebrities Anonymous. She is the director, producer and also a screenplay writer for the film A Fuchsia Elephant.

In 2010, she is coming up with two films, namely, The Romantics and Bold Native, which are in post-production stage, and in 2011 she will be seen playing the role of Sarah Harte, in I Am Number Four, which is currently in production stage.
